In today’s society, being a sensitive person, is rather seen as a flaw in someone’s personality rather than a gift. I want to debunk this perception to encourage all HSP’s and say, sensitive people, are a gift to life and to the world.
My experiences shares, that most people get frustrated with sensitive people, and really don’t understand its true calling within a person.
But in its truest form, sensitive people, make life worth living.
They are the ones who deeply care, without reservation, they are the ones who change the world.
Let’s take a closer look.
Did you know that approximately 15-20% of the population are highly sensitive individuals?
That’s right, you are not alone in your sensitivity.
In fact, renowned psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron estimates that millions of people worldwide possess the trait of high sensitivity.
But what exactly makes sensitivity a gift? Let’s explore.
Sensitivity the “Superpower”
Sensitive People in Action
Sensitivity allows us to connect with others on a profound level, fostering empathy, understanding, and compassion.
Our ability to perceive subtle nuances and empathize with others’ emotions enriches our relationships and brings comfort to those in need.
Sensitivity fuels creativity and innovation. Our keen perception and depth of feeling enable us to see the world through a unique lens, inspiring artistic expression, imaginative problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
HIghly sensitive people are great communicators, and very detailed and are very sensitive to their surroundings.
Furthermore, sensitivity pursues authenticity and vulnerability, it almost demands it. By embracing our true selves and honoring our emotions, we create a safe space for genuine connections and meaningful relationships to flourish.
Many times, I have been very fortunate in my own life to have strangers share their entire life story with me, because I gave them a safe space to speak.
We live in a world that often values toughness over tenderness, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or misunderstood as a sensitive person. But remember, your sensitivity is not a weakness, it is your superpower.
So, to my sensitive souls, your sensitivity is a gift. Embrace your ability to feel deeply, to see beauty in the world, and to connect with others with empathy and authenticity.
Your sensitivity is what makes you uniquely you, and being a highly sensitive person, well I believe the world is better off because of it.
How mundane would this world look, without the deep souls who really wants to make it a better place.
